Marzetti Family

 

Thomas Frederick Marzetti, the 3rd son and 6th of 9 children of Jacques Vincent Marzette and Catherine Veronique Blassett was born on 4th December, 1796 in London.  On 4th December, 1817 in St. Dunstan, Stepney, London he married Catherine Littel who bore him 9 children.  They were Maria Louisa, Lucy Matilda, George John, Thomas Charles Hugh, Helen, Sarah, Catherine, Lydia and Frederick.  Thomas and his wife Catherine accompanied by 3 children Maria, Lucy and Thomas arrived in Tasmania in the "Hope" on 10th April, 1824.  He took up property on the Ouse River near to  to the township of Ouse and built a two story Georgian house, in stone, which they called "Cawood" and where their other children were born.  The family later moved to Victoria and Thomas Frederick died at Collingwood, Melbourne, 16th November, 1852.  His wife Catherine died at Aberdeen Street, Prahran, Melbourne on 6th February, 1869.  Lydia, their 2nd youngest child, married Charles Washington Umphelby.

John George Marzetti, born 25th May, 1790 and died 15th January, 1871 at Stanley House, Hove, East Sussex, the eldest brother of Thomas Frederick Marzetti. Mary Delwaide, wife of John George Marzetti.  They married 16 May, 1812 at St. Mary's Whitechapel, London. Julia, 3rd child of John and Mary Marzetti, who married Edward Breese Robinson on 10th September, 1839 in Long Ditton, Surrey, England. Jane Eliza, 4th child of John and Mary Marzetti, who married Josephy Stanley.
